A new firm, run by traders who know both markets
Between Europe and Türkiye, in both directions
From sourcing to customs clearance and delivery
How it works
Four steps, from enquiry to delivered goods.
Tell us what you need
Product, volume, quality requirements, destination and timing. We come back with what is realistic, what it will cost to land, and which route makes sense.
We find and vet the supplier or buyer
We shortlist candidates against your specification, visit the factory or premises, check registrations, references and capacity, order samples and negotiate price and terms in Turkish.
Logistics, customs and documentation
We book freight, arrange inspection before shipment, and prepare the paperwork: A.TR and EUR.1 certificates, certificates of origin, invoices, packing lists and customs declarations on both sides.
Delivered — and ready for the next order
Goods arrive at your door. We stay on as your contact for repeat orders, price renegotiation, quality follow-up and any questions from customs or authorities.
Example scenarios
How we work in practice.
Vela Connection was founded in 2026. The following are illustrative situations, not past clients — they show how a trade project runs from first enquiry to delivered goods.
Importing ceramic tiles to Denmark
A Danish retailer wants Turkish ceramic tiles but has no idea where to start: which factories are credible, how to control quality before shipment, and what customs will require. We shortlist producers, inspect the goods, and bring the container in cleared and documented.
Dried fruit and nuts, with the right certificates
A European food company needs a reliable Turkish source for dried apricots and nuts. Beyond price, it needs food-safety compliance, phytosanitary certificates and export paperwork that holds up at the EU border. We vet the packers and manage the documentation chain.
Turkish furniture into Scandinavia
A Turkish manufacturer wants to export furniture to Scandinavia but is unsure about EU import rules, product standards and how to reach distributors. We map the requirements, prepare the export documentation and open the door to buyers in the region.
Import guide
How to import goods from Türkiye to the EU
Importing from Türkiye is straightforward once the paperwork is right. Here is the sequence, and where most first-time importers lose time.
Define the product precisely and confirm its HS code — the code drives duty, documentation and any product rules.
Find and verify the supplier: trade registry records, capacity, references, and a factory visit before any deposit is paid.
Agree Incoterms and payment terms in writing — EXW, FOB and DAP place very different costs and risks on you.
Most industrial goods move under the EU–Türkiye Customs Union with an A.TR certificate; agricultural and steel goods use EUR.1 and proof of origin instead.
Food, plants and wood need phytosanitary or health certificates; other categories may need CE marking or lab tests.
Book freight and inspection together: check the goods before the container is sealed, not after it lands.
Vela Connection can run the whole chain — supplier, inspection, freight, customs and delivery — or step in only where you need us.
